  5. When viewing a hotels details, what is the Skype Out link for?

    SkypeOut allows Skype users to make calls from their PC to anywhere in the world at local/discounted rates. To find out more about Skype and the rates they offer please visit www.skype.com
  6. How do I control (view / move) the Map?

    Once a map appears, click any of the arrow buttons in the Map Controls to the right of the map, and the map will move in the direction of the button you clicked. Use this method whenever you want to move the map a short distance at a time.

    Drag the map
    You may move the map large distances at a time by clicking on the map, holding down the left mouse button and dragging the map to your desired position.

    Zooming in and out
    Clicking and dragging the Zoom Slider control up or down in the Map Controls, to the right of the map, will Zoom In - slide down to plus (+) sign or Zoom Out - slide up to minus (-) sign. Please note, zooming in too far will result in no map being displayed.

    Map / Hyb / Sat Controls
    Once a map appears, clicking any of the (Map / Hyb / Sat) buttons in the Map Controls to the left of the map will display that particular type of image. Map = Map image, Hyb = Combination of Map and Satellite image, Sat = Satellite image.
  7. There is no marker on the map for the hotel I have selected. Why?

    Where the hotel has provided their geocode (latitude/logitude) we have been able to provide this information for you. As this information becomes available we will update these hotels so that their markers will appear on the appropriate maps.
  8. Why are maps for some areas more detailed than other areas?

    Online mapping is a relatively new technology and certain areas have not yet been covered in as much detail as other areas. This technology is developing rapidly and as it does, so too will the maps we deliver.
  9. How do I select / control a Streaming Video

    Once the Streaming Video intro appears use the Streaming Video Dropdown Menus to the bottom-left of Streaming Video intro to select the video of the Hotel or Attraction you wish to view.

    Controlling the Streaming Video
    Once the Streaming Video has loaded it will start automatically. Use the controls directly below the Video to Stop, Play, Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind and set the Volume of the Video. You may use the progress bar directly above the controls to jump to any particular section in the Video.
  10. I am unable to view the Streaming Videos. Why?

    To view the Streaming Videos you need to have Windows Media Player installed on your computer. Please visit www.microsoft.com for further information and to download the necessary software.
  11. How long does it take for a Streaming Video to load?

    Streaming Video is not subject to download times. The performance of Streaming Video is however limited by the data rates of your internet connection. The faster your internet connection, the better the Streaming Video will play.
  12. How do I select / control a Virtual Tour?

    Once the Virtual Tour intro appears use the Virtual Tour Dropdown Menus to the bottom-left of Virtual Tour intro to select the Virtual Tour of the Hotel or Attraction you wish to view.

    Controlling the Virtual Tour
    Once the Virtual Tour has loaded it will start rotating automatically. You may manually move it in any direction you wish by clicking on the Virtual Tour, holding the left mouse button down and dragging the Virtual Tour in your desired direction.

    Zooming in and out
    Clicking the magnifying glass buttons in the Virtual Tour Controls, to the bottom left of the Virtual Tour, will allow you to Zoom In or Zoom Out. To zoom In, click the magnifying glass button that contains the plus (+) sign. To Zoom Out, click the magnifying glass button that contains the minus (-) sign.
  13. I am unable to view the Virtual Tours. Why?

    To view the Virtual Tours you need to have the Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer. Please visit www.java.com for further information and to download the necessary software.
  14. How long does it take for a Virtual Tour to load?

    The loading times of our Virtual Tours vary according to the size of the Virtual Tour file and the data rates of your internet connection. The faster your internet connection, the faster your Virtual Tour will load.
  15. Do I need a particular version of a Web browser to view 360° images?

    Although we recommend that you use the latest versions of Web browsers available, our range of virtual tours will display universally on all Internet browsers.

    PC Users:
    For the best results, we recommend you upgrade your browser to at least Internet Explorer 4.01, Netscape 4.05 (or more recent versions) on Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP or NT4. These provide the best support for the Java programming language used for our tours with full features. If your browser cannot view the full-featured tour, the basic version of the same tour will be served to your browser.

    Mac Users:
    For the best results, we recommend you upgrade your browser to at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.5 on MAC OS 8.5-9, or Safari on OS 10. These provide the best support for the Java programming language used for our tours with full features.
